Sideline cup holders: chair pocket, side table or Steadi?

Choose between keeping a drink attached to the chair, creating a resting surface and adding a wider base.

Keep the chair pocket if it already works

A built-in cup pocket may be all you need when your actual drink fits securely and the chair maker’s instructions permit it. Check depth, handle clearance and how the pocket moves as you sit or stand. Do not assume every mesh holder has the same size or behavior.

Use an attached accessory when attachment is the job

A chair-specific holder can keep the drink connected to the chair. Verify its clamp or strap compatibility, load limits and container opening. Steadi has no attachment hardware and cannot replace an accessory whose main purpose is to secure a drink to the frame.

Choose a table when you need a surface

A permitted stable side table can hold a drink beside your chair without relying on a narrow or sloping armrest. Check that the legs stay level and the top supports the whole holder. Steadi is 5.2 inches across at its base, so an arm or ledge narrower than that is not sufficient.

Choose Steadi for a compatible drink on a supported spot

Steadi slips onto container bases 2–3.15 inches across and gives them a wider resting footprint. It can move with the drink between suitable spots without permanent installation. It does not attach to the chair, seal the opening or stop every tip or splash.

A stake needs both suitable ground and permission

A ground-stake holder may solve an anchoring problem where the ground and venue allow it. Check the product’s instructions and exact location rules. Do not drive stakes into synthetic turf or assume an unmarked area allows them. A no-stake product still needs permission for its intended placement.

A lid solves a different problem

If the issue is splashing while you stand or carry things, consider drinkware with an appropriate closure. Steadi does not seal a lid, keep drinks cold or make an open drink suitable for a moving wagon. Carry the container as intended by its maker.
